    Schaefer operates several businesses in an effort to assist the people we serve in finding employment. Even though our primary purpose is to help our people served become competitively employed and increase their productivity, we also want to provide an excellent service at an excellent price to all of our continuing and new customers.

    We depend on businesses and homeowners throughout Northern Colorado to help us meet our mission as well as increase our income. Because we are a non-profit, all of the money we make from the operation of these businesses is put to use improving the quality of the services we provide to the people we serve!

    When you use Schaefer’s services, not only will you receive a quality product, but you will also see cost savings in the price you pay for those services. When you use one or all of our businesses, you also help us by providing more jobs and income for the people with disABILITIES that we serve. They enjoy the work and do an excellent job once trained.

    Twice as Nice Boutique – “Not Your Average Thrift Store.” A creative retail business selling new and used merchandise! We are located in the heart of downtown Greeley, Colorado at 824 9th Street. Our hours of operation are Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can visit our people served working during the hours of 9:00 and 2:00 on Monday – Friday!

    Twice as Nice Boutique – “Not Your Average Thrift Store”

    In July, 2018, Schaefer held a Grand Opening for our newest business – Twice as Nice Boutique. Twice as Nice is a thrift store, however, we also sell new merchandise. We have a wide variety of items that people don’t often look for at a thrift store. For example, we sell some of the following brand new, never used merchandise:

    • • Healing Stones and Crystals
    • • Oysters from The Ocean – each contain a pearl! Great gift-giving idea.
    • • Jewelry of All Kinds
    • • Various Arts, Crafts & Sewing Materials
    • • New Clothes for Everyone
    • • Brand Name Toys
    • • Purses and Leather Wallets

    In addition, we accept donations and sell these just as any other thrift store would. The difference is that we wash, dry and steam all of our donated clothing. We take extra care to provide a service that most thrift stores do not provide. For the rest of our donations, we also clean them up and make sure they are in working order!

    We “Walk the Talk” at Twice as Nice. Some of the commercials for other thrift stores will show the people who benefit from their monies working at their store. However, when you go to the store, you don’t see the people working. At Twice as Nice, our employees are the people we serve as well as people without disabilities. If you visit our store between 9:00 and 2:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday, you can meet the people we serve! They were just as new to retail jobs as we were when we opened up this thrift store, but together we have all learned our job and are proud of our store and ourselves! The money we make from our store is used to pay the rent, purchase merchandise and pay our employees! Any extra money is put back in to the provision of services and hiring more employees to run the store! None of the money we make at the store goes to administrative expenses or administrative or support wages.

    Come and Visit Our Downtown Greeley Thrift Store! You will find that are new and used merchandised is priced fairly for everyone! Be on the watch for our special sales events that are advertised either in the Greeley Tribune or the Downtown Association newsletter.

    We will be open during the summer Friday’s Fests in Downtown Greeley until 9:00 p.m. We will have a different special every Friday and gifts for the kids and adults! Come visit us while you are enjoying Friday Fests!

    If you have donations you would like to bring to Twice as Nice, you can take them between 9:00 and 5:00 p.m. to our 824 9th Street, Greeley, Colorado store. Our employees will help you unload and provide you with a donation slip if needed! We hope to see you in the future!
